Key Eligibility Conditions
- Minimum age: 18 years as on 01.09.2026.
- Qualification must be from a recognized University/Institute, pursued as a regular full-time course — distance learning, part-time, or correspondence mode candidates are not eligible.
- Allied branches of Diploma in Engineering are not accepted.
- Candidates who have already completed one year or more of Act Apprentice training, or have equivalent job experience, or are pursuing higher studies, are not eligible.
- Qualifying exam passing date must be on or after 01.07.2023.
- B.Sc. (Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics) candidates with Chemistry as major may apply for Attendant Operator or Laboratory Assistant trades; those with Physics as major may apply for Instrument Mechanic.
- Candidates with Biology (Zoology/Botany only) in graduation may apply for Secretarial Assistant or Recruitment Executive (HR) roles.
- Candidates can apply for only ONE discipline/trade — multiple applications will lead to rejection of all.
Stipend & Facilities
- Stipend is paid partly by RCF and partly by BOAT (Board of Apprenticeship Training), as shown in the tables above.
- RCF provides morning breakfast, tea, and a vegetarian lunch thali in the company canteen during training (no reimbursement if not availed).
- OPD medical facility at RCF Hospital is available to trainees (for themselves only).
- Uniform and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) will be provided as per company policy.
- No transportation facility or reimbursement will be provided.
- No obligation for regular employment after the apprenticeship — this is training only, as per BOAT guidelines.

Attendance must be marked via a Face Recognition-based system (both IN and OUT punches); late attendance leads to proportionate stipend deduction. The place of posting (Trombay or Thal) is non-transferable throughout the training period.
Selection Process
- A merit list is prepared based on percentage marks in the qualifying examination and applicable reservation.
- Shortlisted candidates are called for Document Verification.
- Final appointment happens only after successful document verification and approval of the Apprenticeship Contract on the NATS/NAPS portal.
- Ties in merit are resolved based on higher qualification, or higher marks in the preceding qualification.
