Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification: MBBS or MD from a University/College recognized by the Medical Council of India, in the Allopathic system of medicine. Candidates with MD – Medicine will be preferred.
- Experience:
- MBBS holders: Minimum 5 years as a General Practitioner (from date of registration with MCI/NMC/State Medical Council, as on 01.09.2026). Internship experience does not count.

Engagement Terms

Job Role
The selected doctor will be responsible for:
- Visiting the Bank’s office/quarters dispensary on all working days.
- Attending to ailments of staff, dependents, and pensioners — providing advice, prescriptions, injections, and ordinary drugs.
- Issuing sick leave certificates and countersigning certificates from other qualified practitioners.
- Issuing order forms for special/costly drugs from approved chemists and forwarding monthly bills.
- Conducting prophylactic inoculations (e.g., typhoid) as needed.
- Arranging hospital facilities for employees or their immediate family (spouse and children) when required.
- Scrutinizing medical and hospitalisation bills of employees and pensioners.
- Managing overall smooth functioning of the dispensary.
Other Conditions
- The doctor is entitled to 20 days of leave per year and must arrange a substitute at their own cost during absence.
- Only the services of a compounder may be engaged by the doctor — no other person.
- The Bank reserves the right to review remuneration and alter duty hours as per operational needs.
- The doctor will work under the administrative control of the respective Zonal Office.
