Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- A graduation degree in any discipline from a university recognized by the Govt. of India, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
- You must have passed graduation not earlier than 01.01.2023 and not later than 01.09.2026.
Age Limit (as on 01.09.2026)
- Minimum age is 20 years and maximum is 28 years.
- Candidates must be born between 02.09.1998 and 01.09.2006 (both days inclusive).

Other Conditions
- Candidates must not have undergone apprenticeship training earlier, either with Canara Bank or any other organization, or be pursuing it currently.
- Candidates with one or more years of job experience or training after completing their qualification are not eligible.
- Ex-servicemen will not be engaged as apprentices.
- You can opt for training seats in only ONE state.

Stipend and Benefits
- Monthly stipend: Rs. 16,650 (including the Government subsidy).
- Canara Bank pays Rs. 10,500 per month.
- The Government of India pays Rs. 6,150 through DBT directly to the apprentice’s account.
- Leave: 12 casual leaves in a year (maximum 4 at a time).
- Certificate: A NATS joint certificate is awarded after completing the training.
Important: Apprentices are not employees of Canara Bank. PF, ESI and bonus do not apply, and the Bank has no obligation to offer regular employment after the training.
Selection Process
- A state-wise merit list is prepared in descending order of marks/percentage in 12th (HSC/10+2) or Diploma. If percentages are tied, the older candidate ranks higher.
- The minimum qualifying marks are 60% (55% for SC/ST/PwBD). Fractions are ignored, so 59.99% counts as below 60%.
- Document verification and the local language test, if applicable.
- Being declared medically fit.
Candidates who submit a 10th or 12th mark sheet or certificate showing they studied the opted local language are exempt from the language test.

- Register on the NATS portal (https://nats.education.gov.in) and complete 100% of your profile. Note your enrollment number.
- Visit www.canarabank.bank.in → Careers → Recruitment → Engagement of Graduate Apprentices in Canara Bank under Apprentices Act, 1961 for FY 2026-27.
- Click “Click Here for New Registration” and fill in your details.
- Enter your NATS enrollment ID.
- Upload the scanned documents listed below.
- Pay the fee online, if applicable.
- Click Final Submit and take a printout of the application and e-receipt.

Q13. Can I edit my application after final submission?
No. No changes are allowed after clicking Final Submit, so check every detail (especially your name, which must match your 10th mark sheet) before submitting.
Important Tips Before Applying
- Do not wait for the last date. Apply early to avoid website slowdowns.
- Keep your email ID and mobile number active, since all communication is sent there.
- Spell your name exactly as on your 10th mark sheet.
- Do not use capital letters in the signature or the handwritten declaration.
- Submit only one application. If you submit several, only the latest valid one is kept.
