About the Recruitment
J&K Bank’s Human Resources Department, Corporate Headquarters, Srinagar, has invited applications for two contractual roles — Zonal Security Officer, responsible for the bank’s overall security policy and operations, and Financial Literacy (FL) Counsellor, responsible for providing free financial literacy and credit counselling to the public across rural and urban areas.

Eligibility Criteria
For Zonal Security Officer
- Graduate in any discipline from a recognized institute.
- Should have held the rank of DSP (Deputy Superintendent of Police) or equivalent in Police / Army / Paramilitary forces.
- Excellent/meritorious service record.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as Deputy Superintendent of Police or equivalent.
For FL Counsellor
- Graduate from a recognized institute.
- Minimum 1 year of work experience in Banking or related fields (Financial Planning, Insurance, Investment, Fintech, Law).
- Working knowledge of computers.
- Knowledge of the local language.
- Knowledge/skills of conducting Financial Literacy camps.
- Preference will be given to retired J&K Bank Officers (superannuated in normal course or through Voluntary Retirement) with no major penalty on record during active service.
Age Limit
- Maximum age for both posts: 62 years (as on 01 January 2026)
Salary / Remuneration

Job Role & Responsibilities
Zonal Security Officer
- Overall implementation and periodic review of the Bank’s Security Policy.
- Planning and execution of security at bank premises as per RBI/Government/Indian Banks Association guidelines.
- Maintaining efficiency, training, and discipline of security staff.
- Liaising with Police, Fire Services, and local/UT/State/Central government authorities for coordinated security.
- Providing professional input to the Central Security Department.
- Handling any other security-related work assigned by the Bank.
FL Counsellor
- Providing free financial literacy, education, and credit counselling to the public in rural and urban areas.
- Educating people about financial products/services and encouraging connection with the formal financial sector.
- Formulating debt restructuring plans for distressed borrowers.
- Conducting at least 2 digital literacy camps and 5 target-specific camps per month, as per RBI directives.
- Organizing publicity for camps through pamphlets, local administration, and media.
- Preparing customized financial/digital education modules in vernacular language for different target groups.
- Conducting open-house seminars for group counselling.
- Reporting to the Lead District Manager / Financial Inclusion Department on a regular basis.
Contract Tenure
- The contractual engagement is for a maximum period of 3 years from the date of joining.
- Continuation is subject to annual satisfactory performance review.
- No renewal of the same contract after 3 years — a fresh engagement exercise will be conducted, and existing engagees may apply afresh.
