CSIR TKDL Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for 50 Posts

The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research – Traditional Knowledge Digital Library Unit (CSIR-TKDL Unit) has released an official notification (Advt. No. TKDL/08/2026) inviting online applications for 50 contractual positions. Openings include Senior Project Associate and Project Associate – I across Information Technology, Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani, Sowa Rigpa, Patent Informatics, Sanskrit, and Yoga domains. Eligibility Criteria & Emoluments

1. Educational Qualifications & Experience

  • Senior Project Associate (IT): B.E./B.Tech in CSE/IT or MCA with 3 years R&D experience, OR M.E./M.Tech in CSE/IT with 2 years R&D experience.
  • Project Associate – I (IT / Data Science): B.E./B.Tech in CSE, IT, AI, ML, Data Science, Electronics, or MCA.
  • Ayurveda / Unani / Siddha / Sowa Rigpa: Respective graduation degree (BAMS / BUMS / BSMS / Bachelor’s in Sowa Rigpa) for Project Associate – I. A Master’s degree (MD) or Bachelor’s with relevant R&D experience is required for Senior Project Associate roles.
  • Patent Informatics: Master’s degree in Chemical/Biological Sciences, Bioinformatics, or Cheminformatics.
  • Sanskrit: Master’s degree in Sanskrit with 3 years R&D experience, or Ph.D. in Sanskrit with 2 years R&D experience.
  • Yoga: Master’s Degree in Yoga from a recognized university.

2. Age Limit (as on 12 October 2026)

  • Senior Project Associate: Maximum 40 years.
  • Project Associate – I: Maximum 35 years.
  • Age relaxations apply for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Women as per Government of India/CSIR rules.

3. Monthly Salary Structure

  • Senior Project Associate: ₹42,000/- + HRA.
  • Project Associate – I: ₹31,000/- + HRA for NET/GATE or National-level test qualifiers; ₹25,000/- + HRA for others.

Q1: What is the last date to submit the CSIR-TKDL application?

The final deadline to complete the online application form is 12 October 2026 by 5:00 PM.

Q2: Can final semester students apply for these positions?

No. Candidates in their final semester or those whose results are still awaited are not eligible.

Q3: Can I apply for multiple post codes?

Yes, but candidates applying for more than one post must submit separate online application forms for each individual position.

Q4: How will the selection process be conducted?

Candidates must report to the specified venue for an offline written test on the scheduled date. Results will be declared on the same day, and shortlisted candidates will attend an interview (in hybrid mode: online or in-person).

Q5: Will CSIR provide TA/DA for attending the exam or interview?

No travel allowance (TA) or dearness allowance (DA) is provided for appearing in the written test or interview.
