Salary

The post is at Level 6 of the 7th CPC pay matrix. The notification names only the level. The standard 7th CPC Level 6 range is ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400, so please confirm the exact pay with the ICG on joining.

Nature of Duties

  • Custodian of the store house
  • Supervising the staff working under him
  • Assisting the superior officer with audit of ledger/folio and liaison with the audit authority
  • Inventory control of all items in the store house and disposal of scrap
  • Supervising the issue and receipt of stores in the warehouse for efficient material management
  • Any other duties related to store and service

Selected candidates are liable to serve anywhere in India, on the mainland or in the Andaman & Nicobar or Lakshadweep islands.

Selection Process

  1. Scrutiny of applications: only verified and correct applications get an admit card, which is sent by post in the self-addressed envelope. The shortlist is published on the ICG website.
  2. Document verification: held on the day of the exam. Bring the original documents listed on the admit card.
  3. Written examination: pen-and-paper, bilingual, 80 objective questions, 1 mark each, no negative marking, 1 hour.
  4. Merit list: prepared strictly on marks in the written exam and published on the ICG website.

  1. Download the notification and take a print of Annexure-I (the application form).
  2. Fill it in English or Hindi. Avoid overwriting, cutting or corrections.
  3. Affix a self-attested colour photograph on the form.
  4. Attach self-attested photocopies (with name and date) of the documents below. Do not send originals.
  5. Put a separate blank envelope with a ₹50 postal stamp pasted on it, addressed to yourself, inside the main envelope.
