Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2027):

  • Minimum: 21 years
  • Maximum: 30 years
  • (Born between 2nd January 1997 and 1st January 2006)
  • Age relaxation applicable as per government rules for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen/Government servants

Educational Qualification:
A degree in Engineering from a recognized university (or equivalent qualifications as per the Institution of Engineers exams, etc., subject to the notification’s specified conditions).


Selection Process

The exam is conducted in three stages:

  1. Stage I — Preliminary Exam (Objective Type): 500 Marks
  • Paper I: General Studies & Engineering Aptitude — 200 Marks
  • Paper II: Engineering Discipline specific — 300 Marks
  1. Stage II — Main Exam (Conventional Type): 600 Marks
  • Paper I & II — 300 Marks each
  1. Stage III — Personality Test/Interview: 200 Marks

Note: There is negative marking for wrong answers in the objective papers (1/3rd mark deducted per wrong answer).
